Human Rights Report: no good news!
Well, another Human Rights Watch report on Iran came out and there isn't much to rejoice about! After all what can we expect? Is it surprising? Just last week a bill passed by the Iranian parliament banning torture in prisons was rejected by the Guardian Council (Constitutional watchdog) for the second time! During the same period two pro-reform newspapers were shot down, a student activist and a writer were arrested, and two thieves had their fingers amputated as a punishment! Need I say more?
